Decision Modeling & Analytics Laboratory (DeciMAL) is a research lab, funded by Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), at École nationale d'administration publique (ENAP), Université du Québec. It also has an affiliation with Concordia Univeristy.
DeciMAL lab advocates economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible solutions in energy sector and public services domain. In particular, we aim at identifying and investigating data-driven solutions addressing the complexities of decisions related to management of new and emerging technologies. These complexities are attributed to multiplicity of decision criteria, life cycle (temporal) considerations, supply chain (spatial) uncertainties, fast pace of innovation, environmental change, and governance-coordination challenges due to conflicting interests of stakeholders. DeciMAL lab has expertise in development of descriptive (categorization and clustering), predictive (forecasting and simulation), and prescriptive (ranking and optimization) decision analytics models.
